Historic narrative:
This cemetery was the first burial ground in Macedon.  It was located on the grounds of the First Baptist Church.  The church was moved to Main St. Macedon.  It was once the Lemuel Spear Farm, one of our early settlers.  Lemuel Spear died in 1809.  In addition to many others, the great-great grandparents of Winston Churchill, Anna and David Wilcox are buried there.  A former district school house is in front of the cemetery.  There is public access to the cemetery on the right side of the property.
