Historic narrative:
Organized in 1837, the congregation built a church near the railroad in 1838. In 1871 they built a new building on East Miller near Main Street. In 1905 a Tiffany memorial window was given to the church. The church closed in the 1920s and was later sold to Redeemer Lutheran Church. In 1955 Redeemer Lutheran sold the church to the Chamber of commerce which razed the building to create downtown parking.
