Historic narrative:
The Methodist Church built its first building on the southwest corner of State Routes 441 and 350. In 1815 they built a new building on High Street which they used until 1872 when the current building was completer. The 1815 building was never dedicated and was used as a union church, open to all denominations who wished to worship there. After 1872 it became a dry house for the Yeoman farms.
