Description:
The town of Walworth was created 5 April 1830 from the town of Ontario.  The law creating Walworth was passed by the NYS Assembly on April 16, 1829,  the NYS Senate on April 18, 1829, and signed by Governor Enos T. Throop on April 20, 1829.  Note the wording, "From and after the first Monday of April next...." meaning the law was to take effect on April 5, not on the date the law was passed.
