According to records, there are 279 burials here.

Located on Centenary Road, Sodus. Record taken from tombstone inscriptions and the Clark records.

2005 Driving Directions - Rte. 104 West out of Sodus. Right heading North onto North Centenary Rd. Cemetery is on the Right hand side just past Middle Rd.

People of Historic Note Buried Here:

Moffatt
Nancy Richards, wife of Jeduthan Aug 1782 - Sept 16, 1870

Came to Sodus with her mother Mrs. Richards in 1794; Mrs Richards died 1849; In 1807 she married Jeduthan Moffatt

"The neighbors erect this stone to her memory as the last of the family that braved the dangers of the forest and made the first permanent settlement in (Town of) Sodus. She lived to see the wilderness become a fruitful field and the desert blossom as the rose."

          Jeduthan Moffat was a friend of Captain Charles Williamson who was the appointed land agent to develop the Sodus Bay, Pultneyville and Williamson area. John Graves Simcoe, the Governor of Canada may have thought that the region south of Lake Ontario belonged to the King of England or more likely thought that he could bluff Williamson, sent a protest by messenger ordering him to vacate the country within the Old French Line. Jeduthan Moffat was the person who delivered this message to Captain Charles Williamson stating that a meeting was requested to be held between the two men at Sodus Point in ten days time .

Captain Charles Williamson would later appoint Jeduthan Moffat as a land agent and farm land in the vicinity sold for one dollar and a half an acre,
