Located on the south side of the road in the 1812 Peace Garden. This plaque honors the brave men who fought the British at this site on June 19th, 1813.

The plaque  reads:

 

On the brow of this hill took place the Battle of Sodus Point between the British and American forces June 19, 1813. The following day the Village of Sodus Point was sacked and burned by the British.

 

Placed by U.S. Daughters of 1812  General John Swift Chapter Wayne County, New York 1927
