Historic narrative:
Organized in 1817, their first building was a log cabin built near the south west corner of Ridge Road and Ontario Center Road. It is now at the Heritage Square Museum. In 1884 the Baptists purchased the old Advent Church on West Main Street in Ontario. The frame building was built in 1875, a year after the Free Advent Christian Church organized and five years before that congregation disbanded.
