Description:
This two-story edifice was built after 1860.  It was previously owned by Miss Jennie Seeley who extensively remodeled it in 1889 and left to the Presbyterian Church in 1906 for use as a manse or minister''s home. Sometime later, it was sold to John and Jennie Hermanet.  Later it was purchased by the Town of Marion in 2004 for use as a museum.  The front and south porches were part of the 1889 renovation of the house. The originals have been replicated to maintain the look of the home.

An addition to the rear was added in 2018 as part of the work needed to make this building renovation function well as well as bring it into ADA compliance. The north portico was added in 2021 as well as the ADA-compliant walkway.  In the future, this will serve as the primary entrance. The building is now the home of the Marion Historic Association.
