Description:
The Town of Lyons was established by act of the NYS Legislature.  It was passed on March 1, 1811 and on April 1, 1811 the area that now covers the Towns of Lyons and Arcadia were became the Town of Lyons.  On February 15, 1825 another law was passed that divided off Arcadia on March 7, 1825.
