Historic narrative:
Romyen House (now the Kyburg Black Angus Farm)
Address: 1018 Eyer Road, Lyons
Year Built: 1841

This 2-story farmhouse used squarish field cobbles and cut limestone quoins, lintels and a water table on the front only. “T. T. Romyen 1841” is etched in the lintel over the front door and sidelights frame its sides. It has the same triangular vent in the gable end as the previous house. Look up to see the wood shake roof and at the end of the driveway to see the smokehouse out back.
