Palmer - Springett

Historic Site #:01-116   (Exists)   Type: D10 Town:Arcadia
Site Name:Palmer - SpringettGPS Coordinates:43.042047, -77.096966
Address:110 Jefferson St, Newark NY
Description:
Indications are that this house was built in the 1880s and is typical of a mid-Victorian period. Abstracts do not indicate in what year the house was actually built. But George Chapman, a builder, pointed out ... "the cherry woodwork, the lack of plumbing with a hand operated pump in the kitchen sink, use of leaded stained glass windows, the iron hitching post out front of great interest to the family, and other features of the mid-Victorian period" suggest it was built in the 1880s.
