Year Built: 1827-1830 

This 2-story home sits across from Lock 29 on the Erie Canal. Beside it is a big red barn labeled “Tamerlayne 1827” in large white letters. The house took 3 years to complete, using multi-colored cobbles gathered from the lake shore, and cut limestone lintels, quoins and sills. The walls are 28 inches thick. Two additions were added in the mid-1800s In the mid-1960s, the Nusbaum family made major renovations to what they called “Tickertape Farm.” Frederic Nusbaum was the president of a stock brokerage firm.
