Description:
Newark Island is the smallest of the three main islands on Sodus Bay. There were several others, which, overtime, have lost their island status by being merged with the mainland, barrier bar, or - "sinking". Newark is a remarkable spot. There are several cottages on the island. The name was given to the island in the early 1900s due to the number of summer residents who were from Newark, NY.

Newark Island - also known over time as Loga, Little, and Islay Island.
